Research

Our research group is interested in the evolving relationship between humans and AI, with a special focus on Writing with AI. We design AI writing assistants, study how humans interact with AI, develop and evaluate AI for their ability to complement our capabilities, and explore how AI affects our productivity and creativity. Beyond writing, our group's interests span areas such as how AI can support human cognition and decision-making, how AI can enhance learning and teaching, evaluating AI systems with a focus on the needs and experiences of users, and improving public understanding of AI. Our members have backgrounds in natural language processing (NLP), human-computer interaction (HCI), and computational social science (CSS).
